G-Swim

a swimming group for gay men

G-Swim is a swimming group for gay men. Men of all ages are welcome. It is hoped that the group will provide good opportunities for making new friends.

G-Swim meet on Wednesday evenings at 8:45pm. We meet beside the Markievicz statue on Townsend Street, which is around the corner from the entrance to the Markievicz Pool on Luke Street. We go to the 9pm swim, which is a public swimming hour.

There are no membership fees for G-Swim - anyone can come along. The entrance fee to the pool is 6 euro. A swimming cap is required (and togs!!!). You also need a 1-euro coin for the lockers (refunded afterwards).

We do not have a coach/trainer or any kind of structured session. There are usually 2 or 3 lanes for people who like to do lengths and then the rest of the pool is an open area for other swimmers.

We meet in the pool lobby after the swim and then go for a social drink in a local bar.
